ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The MCA Department was established in the year 1999.The Department works as a value added technology incubator with foresight and vision, stepping forward to be the centre of technology with extensive inputs. The students are educated beyond black board with special lectures, seminars, industrial visits etc. The students are given opportunities to equip themselves to fit in the field after their studies. The Department has student association called “ESPY” that organizes a National Level Technical Symposium every year, inviting students from various institutions state wide providing an opportunity to participate in the events like paper presentation, debugging, software contest etc.

The Department provides excellent infrastructure with a well equipped computer laboratory of 60 dedicated computers for the students with all required software. The Department is supported by a fully equipped seminar hall with audio – visual facilities.

Faculties of this department are well qualified and are in constant pursuit of higher learning to give the latest information to the students in the field of Computer Applications. They have publication in reputed journals and also provide support for innovative project works, training including both soft skills and technical skills.

To establish a strong Industry Academic Collaboration for teaching and research, that could foster entrepreneurship and innovation in knowledge exchange .

To produce quality engineers who are disciplined, ethical and socially concerned.

To develop simple software’s and web pages using C, C++, Java, Visual Basic, Visual C++, Oracle, HTML, Java, Java Script, J2EE, ASP and JSP

MULTIMEDIA & OPERATING SYSTEM LAB

OBJECTIVE

To perform image editing operations, sound editing operations, 2D/3D animations using Photoshop Tool, sound forge software and flash tools

ORACLE LAB

OBJECTIVE

To create and interact with the database. The Application software includes Oracle 10-G which works under Windows and Oracle Express on Linux.

CTS OPEN SOURCE LAB

RESEARCH

The Department is equipped with Madha Institute of Research and Development division that enhance students with Real time Projects from various Industries.

The R & D division motivates the faculty members and Students to carry out research work in areas of their interest, generate project proposals to seek grants from various funding agencies, establish Centers of Excellence in the college. These are done to motivate the students and the faculty of the Institution, to update the knowledge which leads to further investigation and progress and to give a hand to the industries in their product development. All disciplines of the college are actively engaged on Research, Development and Consultancy activities. The R & D cell of this college has been active in registering for patents, copyrights, publications in conferences, organizing conferences, seminars and workshops.
